"Ah, a New Yorker. Well, I can honestly say I know nothing about big cities except for my experiences in London. Then again, most of the time I spent in London was in a flat stuffed with books... Horridly boring books actually..." He said, dipping his head slightly, remembering his years of study with exhausted disdain before looking up once more.
"Hold on, being polite is a bad thing? Damnit, I'm going to have to re-evaluate this whole ettiquette thing... Then again, Lark knows how good I am at ignoring childhood habits." He said, grinning lightly towards Professor Lovegood, thinking back on the convorsation they'd had in the teacher's lounge about how to address Lark.

Riley laughed, shaking her head.
"It's not a bad thing at all!" she confirmed. "I just can't seem to measure up sometimes." She leaned in, voicing her next statement in a conspiratory stage whisper. "I'll admit, I often feel like such a pig."
It was meant as a joke and came across that way, but it was still a secret fear that Riley had. She knew the opinions that many had formed of Americans and, being new here, was always worried of doing something to offend someone or make them angry.

"I don't really find Americans in particular annoying... I would hate a lot of my family if I did... It's more the ignorance of a person in general..." He paused, then nodded slightly, finishing his statement. He did not often like to indulge in convorsation that would lead to judgements. He glanced over to Lark, wondering why she had been silent for so long. Perhaps she was merely tired. Henry could understand that; there were times when his body had been so completely drained that he had just wanted to collapse in a pile of motionlessness. Comas were a welcome thing in that state of mind... but Lark didn't look very tired... He shrugged his thoughts away from sleep before taking a few bites out of his food, and then a few more when he was reminded of the grandeur of Hogwarts cuisine. His eyes scanned over the crowd of jabbering students. When he attended here, he would never have thought that he would eventually be sitting at this table, looking at the students.
