That's it, Teagan was pissed. Without any warning she flicked out her wand. "Petrificus Totalus." she said quietly and with really no emotion.
Seth's body snapped together, causing him to drop his despicable fag. With a satisfied smile Teagan ground the fag into the floor and then made her way over to the bed.
"I said 'move'." She said again and with a forceful nudge she sent Seth rolling to the floor.

Seth mentally swore and tried to move, but, of course, he couldn't. What a jerk. She couldn't just push him off or ask nicely. No, she had to go and use force. Well, Seth could use force too, as soon as he got out of this ridiculous spell.
His eyes moved toward the dropped fag, a spark of anger showing only momentarily before he hid it again. It was uncomfortable not being able to move, not to mention humiliating. He could only imagine what it would be like to have to stay like this for hours on end. People in body casts must have really had it rough....

Teagan looked down for a moment on the frozen form of Silver. She had her arms crossed. Then, without a word, she finished her work on the bed, the last thing she needed to do. She wasn't pleased that she had been forced to do what she did, but she couldn't help to feel glad that she had one up on Silver. How Adonis would laugh!
She walked briskly over to the door of the Hospital Wing. She opened the door, but paused before leaving. She looked back at her opponent. "You shouldn't have followed." she said clearly. Then she flicked her wand, the spell disappearing and freeing his body. Before he could retaliate however she had swept out.

Seth sprang up and followed into the corridor, Turning back to Teagan he asked loud enough for her to hear, "Why the hell do you have such a problem with me, anyway?" Ever sonce he'd come to this school, Seth and Teagan had never liked each other. He blamed it on her. She looked at him like he was some kind of disgusting slug-person, and probably thought worse.
And Seth didn't even really hate her, as much as he might pretend not to like the girl. He didn't hate her. It was just that Teagan was so....good, and he just wasn't. Seth cursed and smoked and got into all kinds of trouble while Teagan hung out with her little friends, laughing and doing homework and all that other goody-goody stuff. He just couldn't be like that, so he bothered the people who could. They were more fun to bother than the hard-ass people because they tried to be nice, but ended up exploding after a little while.

"Why the hell do you have such a problem with me, anyway?" Seth's question rang through the empty hallway and brought Teagan to a stop. She turned around, a retort on her lips, one that never made it out of her mouth. She looked at Seth, just standing there, outside the Hospital Wing.
Teagan suddenly remembered the conversation she'd had with Aether in the girl's dorms. Silver was one of Aether's friends. For a moment Teagan actually wanted to apologize to this guy whom she'd never been on good terms with. Just for a moment. However, that brief thought was enough to make her forget exactly what she had been planning on saying, so she just gave a tired sigh.

"Why do you?"
He hadn't actually expected much more than a sarcastic reply, so Teagan's question threw him off-guard. Shrugging, Seth said nonchalantly, "Dunno. You're good, I'm not. You never liked me, and I make a point not to bother with people like that. It's just a waste of my time." Jamming his fists into his pockets, he tilted his head to the side and continued, "Now, answer my question."
Seth didn't expect much from Catherwood. He had answered her question truthfully, without any snide remarks or sneers, which was a courtesy that was rarely extended to most people. He thought he knew what her answer would be. If it wasn't an insult, then it would probably be something along the lines of what he himself had said. Teagan was a goody-goody, and Seth was just....Seth.
It went the same with Malfoy and Zola Weasley. They were pretty people with nice friends and good grades. They weren't exactly the kind of people that Seth liked to associate with, and they wouldn't waste their time trying to be nice to him. It was different with Aether and Charra and Oione. Aether was tough and didn't take any of his shit. She'd been in trouble before, and she put up with him well enough. Charra and Seth had similar reputations, despite their many differences. Everyone else pretty much thought of them as bad news. And Oione...well, Oione fit into a category all her own.

Teagan listened to Silver's answer with raised eyebrows. She had been expecting something quite different than a straight forward, apparently truthful response.
"Well, Silver, it seems even someone who I think I have all figured out can surprise me sometimes." she stated. "And you've pretty much answered your question for me."
She unconciously took a few steps forward, bringing her closer to Silver. "Let's see, I'll just make a few adjustments. You're bad, I'm not. And you know, you never made much of an effort to show that you liked me either. I dunno Silver, maybe we're just too different. There's also the possibility that we've missed something about each other all these years or haven't taken the time to look past our differences."
What was she saying? It was true that while fighting or just after a fight with Silver, Teagan often found herself questioning their motives and behavior. But she couldn't believe that she had spoken these philosophies out loud and to the one person she never imagined having a serious conversation with.

Seth snorted. "You really believe that, do you?" He shook his head, smirking. Leaning against the wall, he pulled out a fag and lit it in one fluid motion. "You know, sometimes I really don't get you people," he mused, blowing a smoke ring at her. "I think I've got you all figured out. You hate me, so I hate you. It's perfect, right?" He paused, flicking his ashes at the stone floor, not once taking his eyes from Teagan's face. "But it isn't, 'cause then you have to go and change everything. I mean, some on, Catherwood, what makes you think I would ever want to work past my differences with you? I don't even know you."
Seth took another puff on his fag and continued, "But then, I guess I should have expected this from you. People like you like to think they have things all figured out, and when you can't even believe your own lies--when you know that you don't understand something--it scares you, makes you mad. You hate whatever it is at first, and then you start to soften up a little. You begin to wander what's wrong, and you want to find out everything you can."--he raised his eyebrows at her--"working past our differences, whereas, people like me--we let things go as they are. I don't need to understand everything, and I don't want to. I don't judge people by their pasts, but if someone hates me, you can be certain I'll hate them back. I don't waste my time trying to understand people or to gain popularity. I have no problem with people until they have a problem with me." Realizing he'd been rambling on a little too much, Seth said quickly, "The point is, I don't want to work past anything with you. You're welcome to try and understand me if you like, but I doubt you'll find out anything worth remembering."

Good God. He may be in denial, but the amount of talking he's doing and the subject he seems to be stuck on all seem to be the first step to working past our differences.
Teagan was struck dumb by this thought, and by what Silver was saying. This was the closest thing to a decent conversation that she'd ever had with him. She was also slightly hurt as she realized that much of what Silver was saying was true, no matter how much she'd like to deny it.
She watched as Silver blew a smoke ring at her, noting with some detached amusement, that there was no way it would reach her, not as far apart as they were standing.
Suddenly she realized that Silver's speech was over. She looked up, wondering how long the silence between them had stretched. She was actually at a loss for words.
With an almost sad shake of her head Teagan just sighed. "You're probably right. Well, Silver, if we're going to go on hating each other after this little...discussion, then I'd better tell you now while we're having this...deep?...conversation some things you probably wouldn't want to hear any other time. You've always been...interesting to me. That sounds creepy I know, but this moment is not the first time that I've wondered what it would be like to be, if not friends, then at least civil towards each other." She chuckled lightly and suddenly. "You seem like a pretty multi-dimensional guy Silver. I guess that works out."
Teagan had decided during his speech that she might as well open up a little and be honest with Silver. She seriously doubted that either of them would mention this part of their encounter to anyone. The parts before this conversation would of course be told in their own versions to their friends. But actually talking? Neither of them would dare admit to such a thing. And so she paid him somewhat of a compliment and meant every word of it.
"I don't know why I've just noticed it now, but I think we're both...I dunno...different this year. You may deny it, but I've felt the change in myself and frankly, we've hated each other long enough to have somewhat of a connection so I've noticed a change in you as well. It's interesting."
Teagan was silent for a while, arms folded, leaning against the wall, contemplating her silent component who was cast in an interesting mix of shadows and rays of the setting sun.
"Well, it's getting late and you know me. St. Teagan must go start her homework." She used the wonderful nickname that those who didn't like her had given her. She found it rather amusing. With one more quizzical glance at Silver, as if to figure out exactly what had just transpired, she said, "See ya." and turned to go, feeling oddly reluctant.
((and by "tomorrow during 6th period" I apparently meant now.))
