"Penance for my dullard's mind"
That sounded quite philosophical to Zola at 3.... 4?... 2 o'clock in the morning. Whatever time it actually was.... At least she was once again attempting conversation, so Zola took her eyes off of her still steaming cup and rested them on Charra's face. A conversation she had just a day or so ago came to mind, the one with Oione. She had mentioned Charra a few times, strange Zola should now be talking with her.
"You are friends with Oione, right? She thinks very highly of you. You have a true blue friend with her."

"She's an angel in Slytherin disguise." Charra grinned. "If I weren't straight, I'd jump her." DAmn. Once again, probably not the best thing to say. Quickly covering it, she laughed. "She's having quite a bit of trouble with Seth.

"She's an angel in Slytherin disguise."
That was one of the most accurate phrases Zola had ever heard, and even more philosophical than the last. What was so powerful about it was that it did not only bring to mind the angelic blonde figure of Oione, but the even more angelic, even more blonde form of Adonis. Even though both of them had their devilish moments, they radiated beautiful white light once you got to know them. Zola couldn't help but smile at the thought of both of them as angels, shrouded by the evil reputation of Slytherin.
Zola's peaceful thoughts were interupted by comment about Charra wanting to jump Oione, causing a great deal of confusion in her sleepy mind. Charra's laugh then rang out like a bell, and Zola's feelings were once again drastically shifted at the mention of Seth Silver. She loathed him. Moments of their first, and hopefully last, encounter flashed in Zola's mind, making her want to punch something. Although Oione had started to bring her around on the subject of Seth, partially convincing her that he also had a good side to him, it was extremely hard for Zola to see it. The frustration and the annoyance that came with just the thought of Seth wound up Zola's face, hardening all of her features.
"Why wouldn't she be having trouble with Seth? Seth is trouble personified. Ugh, that boy just rubs me the wrong way..."

Smiling Charra agreed. "I think I can stand him because I have the same kind of reputation. We both tend to rub people the wrong way, I guess. Do you know Teagan Catherwood? Apparently I bother her quite a bit. It's quite a shame... I like her." Charra shrugged. Neither Teagan or Adonis seemed to enjoy Charra's company.
Re: Mornings Bite « Reply #19 on Dec 30, 2005, 1:22pm »
Teagan? Not like someone? That seemed highly improbable. But, come to think of it, hadn't Teagan mentioned an odd encounter with Charra in Astonomy class just the other day? She hadn't said anything about not liking her, just that she was strange and kind of confused her...
"Teagan is actually one of my good friends. I thought I heard her mention something about you the other day, did you guys have dinner together or something? She never really told me the story.... But I don't think she doesn't like you. It is more that she doesn't know you. I highly doubt that you really bother her that much or she could possibly not like you as much as you think. She is such a social person, you should just get to know her better. But what really happened that night you guys met?"
Zola had been curious about this subject for a long time, but she didn't know how to bring it up to Teagan and/or Adonis. She completely forgot about her food and drink and turned her full focus on Charra, awaiting an interesting and juicy story that she had been longing to hear.

Charra blushed a tad. "I wanted to get to know Teagan and Adonis better, so I kinda... attacked them at my table. I was really hyper too, so I suppose I wasn't saying the best of things. Teagan got pissed when I asked her about Sauda, too. Stalked off near the end." She almost didn't want to remember it... Gods she was a horror when hyper.
Re: Mornings Bite « Reply #21 on Dec 30, 2005, 2:17pm »
"About Sauda? Hmmm... I've been wondering what is going on between my cousin and her..."
Teagan seemed to be attracted to him, which wasn't uncommon. He was part veela afterall. But she never thought that a simple comment by an unsuspecting civilian about him would throw her into a state of unsocialness. She would have to investigate this further.
"I'm sure she was just in a rotten mood. Don't hold it against her, I'm sure you could find the nice side of Teagan if you tried again."

Charra shrugged. "Perhaps. My little Gryffindor buddy would disagree however. Teagan seems to grow cold when I'm mentioned, apparently. In either case, who would be your interest?" She thought she knew the answer, but she wasn't going to say a thing about it until Zola had. No point in getting in trouble yet again.
Re: Mornings Bite « Reply #23 on Dec 31, 2005, 1:40pm »
Her interest? That was both direct and vague all at once. Zola knew that Charra was hinting towards Delulv, everyone had been lately. Just because she flirted with him in a class or two did not mean she was ready to have his babies! Zola made the snap decision that it was better to play somewhat aloof than to share her personal life with a half naked girl that she met in the middle of the night in the kitchens.
"You mean a boy right? Oh I am always way to busy with all of my schoolwork to even think about boys. What about you, Charra? Any hidden, or not so hidden, loves?"

"Seth wouldn't be so bad as a plaything, but aside from that, no." Charra sighed. This year had been going slow for her. Last year, her reputation hadn't formed yet. This year, well... "It's a shame really, I almost need to get laid soon. And... I really hope that doesn't offend you." Biting her lip, she looked away.
Re: Mornings Bite « Reply #25 on Jan 25, 2006, 2:14pm »
It did. Offend Zola that is. But it was too early, or too late depending on how you looked at it, to really care. So Zola just shrugged it off with a wave of her hand. Some people were just really sexual, Zola couldn't hold that agaisnt them. Even if the thought of having Seth as a plaything was making her cheese strudel make it's way back up her esophagus, it didn't really matter. Charra was now looking away so Zola decided it was time to pry into the subject at hand. For being so antisocial, Zola did have a love of understanding the human brain, and sexual desire was a part of the human psyche.
"So, does that mean you've had sex before? I don't mean to pry where I don't belong...but I was just wondering about that whole subject. I don't really know too much about it."
Re: Mornings Bite « Reply #26 on Jan 31, 2006, 8:44pm »
CHARRA
"Huhn. You're one of those too innocent to even have heard, then?" Charra just nodded. "Yeah, I've had sex. But my views on it might make you a bit antsy, so unless you really wanna hear them, perhaps we should change the subject? Like say... to you family or some such other topic?" Her eyebrows furrowed. Why would Zola pry into such a thing that was so tempting to speak about? Obviously the girl was quite an innocent. And why would Charra ruin an ok start to such a good conversation? Not that her opinions of sex weren't at the tip of her tongue.....
